| Tribe opens larger facility |

SALT RIVER RESERVATION, ARIZONA - The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is opening a 78,000-square-foot Department of Corrections building, the community's latest development project. The corrections facility - about 12 times the size of its older center - was built to properly house inmates and juveniles, said Craig Thomas, director of the tribe's Department of Corrections.
