SALT LAKE CITY, UT - The Department of Corrections will keep under wraps a review detailing what went wrong in the June fatal prison transport of skinhead Curtis Allgier. Corrections Director Tom Patterson said Thursday he has reviewed the Department of Public Safety (DPS) report about the June 25 transport that ended in the shooting death of guard Stephen Anderson but declined to discuss specifics in it, citing an ongoing investigation of Allgier and sensitive transport policies. "It's not really about assessing blame," Patterson said of the report. "This has always been about identifying weakness. We feel like it's been instructive." Read more.
