COLUMBIA, SC - Gov. Mark Sanford and S.C. Department of Corrections director Jon Ozmint announced today some upgrades to an automated victim information and notification system. The system will provide up-to-date information on the status of inmates including release and court dates. The department has used a notification system for victims since 2001, and the new statewide system will bring county jails and the S.C. Department of Probation, Parole and Pardons into the fold. |
