NEW YORK – The Nassau County Department of Probation in New York has awarded a new three year electronic monitoring equipment and services contract to the Colorado-based Behavioral Interventions, Inc. (BI).

The contract includes an electronic monitoring system, a remote alcohol monitoring system, and DriveBI, a portable device that lets parole officers verify an offender’s presence from outside the offender’s residence.

BI is the largest provider of offender supervision, treatment, and reentry services for community corrections in the U.S. The company has worked with Nassau County since 1994.
