MICHIGAN - Site work for a new Midland County Jail could begin as early as December and the building could be finished some time between July and September 2009, the county's lead construction contractor said Thursday. Jerry Brand of Granger Construction said he expects the jail to take about 18 months to build and that the timetable depends on the weather. Read more.
