| Yakima County examines security concerns |

WASHINGTON - Yakima County Corrections is wondering why an inmate wanted to escapte from the Law and Justice Center. He was in jail on a minor charge. The jail is only for low risk inmates who usually spend no more than two months behind bars. "We've had over 27,000 bed days at the Justice Center and we've been doing this on and off all along," says Steve Robertson, Director of the Yakima County Department of Corrections, "One guy has messed it up for everyone else." Roberston says they'll look at possibly adding barbed wire to the fencing, or an additional fence. For now, no inmates will be allowed outside. Darrell Church hopped the fence on Saturday afternoon when inmates were allowed to go outside. Police are still looking for him |
