| Wyo. agrees to 60-day contract |

WYOMING - The Wyoming Department of Family Services has entered into a 60-day contract extension with Frontier Correctional Systems. The decision came days after Family Services Director Tony Lewis announced to Frontier that his agency did not desire to contract with its Jeffrey C. Wardle Academy for long-term secured substance abuse treatment there. But Family Services spokeswoman Juliette Rule said the reason for the extension only is to allow the agency enough time to remove the remaining youth in its custody who are getting treatment there. "We still have youth in placement there," she said. "Case review plans, court recommendations and petitions haven't been heard yet." Read more.
