OHIO - Wood County Sheriff Ken Merritt has taken his challenge of the county commission’s plan for the home confinement program to court. A complaint was filed Monday on behalf of Merritt, challenging the commission’s authority to “strip the duly elected and acting sheriff of his supervisory responsibilities over the home confinement program,” and asking the court to issue a declaratory judgment on his behalf.
