CALIFORNIA - A new report finds that many California prison inmates are dying due to poor medical care. The report released by Robert Sillen, the court-appointed receiver in charge of California prison health care found that last year, 426 prison inmates died. The study focused on 381 of those deaths. Out of those deaths it was determined that as many as 18 deaths were preventable and 48 were possibly preventable. Read more.
