| Inmate charged with attack indicted |

TENNESSEE - A Cumberland County man who was accused of assaulting a county correctional officer with a tire iron in an escape attempt last May has been indicted by the Cumberland County Grand Jury. Jimmy Franklin Brown, 38, who listed a Deck Rd. address, was indicted on charges of aggravated assault on an officer, attempted escape and vandalism of government property less than $500, according to court records. The incident took place on May 5 when White was transporting Brown from Cumberland Medical Center to the jail at the Justice Center. Read more.
