| Inmates, COs help fight fire |

SOUTH DAKOTA - State prison inmates and Department of Corrections staff members on Monday returned to the Barnes Canyon Fire in the Black Hills, according to the corrections department. The DOC sent 19 inmates and two staff members from the Rapid City minimum security unit to the fire line about 6:30 a.m. Mountain time.
