| Former warden to aid homeland protection |

NEW YORK - GE Security, Inc., a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of the General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE), today announced that Robert Hood, retired warden of the "Supermax," super-maximum security federal penitentiary in Colorado, has joined GE's Homeland Protection business as an expert strategic counselor on security challenges facing corrections facilities and other high-security installations. Hood managed the country's highest security prison and supervised some of the world's most dangerous and escape-prone criminals including 1993 World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef, Unabomber Ted Kaczynski and Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols. While warden, Mr. Hood led various projects to integrate state-of-the-art detection and monitoring technologies for inmates requiring an exceptionally secure environment. Read more.
