| GPS to track state's worst sex offenders |

WASHINGTON STATE - In response to the abduction and killing of a 12-year-old Pierce County girl this summer, Gov. Chris Gregoire has ordered an emergency program to better track the state's most dangerous sex offenders. After a preliminary briefing from her Sex Offender Task Force, Gregoire said Wednesday the state couldn't afford to wait for the 2008 legislative session to start tracking Level 3 sex offenders with global positioning system devices.
