Longtime senate corrections chair resigns

DELAWARE - State Sen. James Vaughn says he is resigning.

The 82-year-old Claymont Democrat missed the first half of the General Assembly's two-year session while recovering from pneumonia, associated with his successful fight against cancer. In a letter to Lieutenant Gov. John Carney, Vaughn says he's stepping down because he is still having problems returning to full health. Read more.
