TEXAS - Juvenile corrections officials Monday ordered the removal of young offenders from the privately operated Coke County Juvenile Justice Center in West Texas, citing unsanitary and unsafe conditions. The Texas Youth Commission also canceled its contract with the center's private operator, GEO Group of Boca Raton, Fla. Detainees will be transferred to other TYC facilities today. Read more.
