| Department settles confidentiality lawsuit |

WYOMING - The Wyoming Department of Corrections has agreed that investigators and staff at state prisons will respect the confidentiality of communications between inmates and their lawyers. The department adopted a new policy this week in response to a lawsuit filed by Stephen Pevar, a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union. Pevar had represented all inmates at the state prison in Rawlins in a separate federal lawsuit over prison conditions there. Read more.
