SWEDEN - Dmatek, the provider of electronic monitoring technologies, has won a contract in Sweden to provide the Swedish Prison and Probation Service (SPPS) with three additional in-prison offender monitoring systems.

The contract was awarded to Elmo-Tech, Dmatek’s wholly owned subsidiary, which operates in the corrections and law enforcement market. It said the order was valued at over $1.2 million (£0.6 million), with additional services over the next 5-7 years potentially doubling this amount.

The new inmate tracking systems (TRaCE) will be installed in three new open prisons sites, separate and remote from each other.
