| County director refuses sex offenders |

NEW JERSEY - Cumberland County Freeholder Director Doug Rainear personally informed the state Monday the county will not accept the transfer of more than 350 civilly committed sex offenders. County officials also delivered petitions totaling 3,500 signatures opposing the transfer. Rainear, county spokesman Glenn Nickerson and county marketing director Kim Wood met with state Department of Corrections Commissioner George Hayman for about 25 minutes.
