Two men are looking for compensation after being wrongfully convicted of killing a security guard in Columbus in 1976. Timothy Howard and Gary Lamar are suing in Franklin County, Ohio, Common Pleas Court as part of a two-step process to determine damages. The 50-year-old Columbus men spent 26 years in prison before they were released last year. Both say there's no way to make up for the time they've spent in prison and they say they should be compensated. They aren't asking for specific damages in their case, but both could end up with millions. The Ohio attorney general's office is declining to comment on the case. |
