CANADA - The Department of Corrections and Public Safety has discovered that red was not the ideal colour choice for institutional clothing at the Regina Provincial Correctional Centre. "Red was, we discovered, one of the colours that's often worn by gang members and we have a current policy in our correctional centres that gang colours aren't allowed, so that was the reason for the switch," a department spokesperson said.
