| Tenn. "Clean Sweep" nets fugitives |

TENNESSEE - The Tennessee Department of Corrections is cracking down on fugitives on the run. The operation, called "Clean Sweep”, targets more than 50 men and women who escaped from state prisons more than 10 years ago. Six escapees were taken into custody Monday. Four were captured in-state. Two were captured out-of-state. Jerry Lester, TDOC, said, “Regardless of how long they've been gone, they left the Tennessee Department of Corrections unlawfully and had not fully paid their debt so it's our job to locate these folks, bring them back into custody of the TDOC and see that they finish out the remainder of their sentence."
