County to charge inmates for doctors

ILLINOIS - Cook County Jail inmates could be charged as much as $10 if they want to see a doctor, under a plan being floated by Sheriff Tom Dart.

During a budget presentation Thursday, Dart said "every other county in the state does this" and "the potential for revenue is great" for the cash-strapped county. Read more.
