MICHIGAN - The Livingston County Board of Commissioners approved a three-year contract with about 100 sheriff's deputies, corrections officers and detectives on Monday night. The contract calls for the employees to contribute more money toward health insurance if they want to keep the same level of coverage. Employees also get a $1,000 signing bonus and raises of 2.5 percent this year, 2.75 percent next year, and 2.25 percent in 2009. |
