MICHIGAN - Where hundreds of men in state-issued blue coats and orange stocking caps once roamed, an unsettling quiet is all that remains. But for a few hours Saturday, casually clad former employees and their families toured the empty yard and vacant cell blocks of the Southern Michigan Correctional Facility. ``It's like a ghost town,'' corrections officer John Gallagher said, surveying the facility where he has clocked in for the past nine-and-a-half years.
