VERMONT - Three cases of the drug-resistant staph infection called MRSA have been confirmed at the Southern State Correctional Facility. And officials say there are another six suspected cases. They say after the first case was confirmed in the Springfield prison, doctors and nurses began checking all 350 inmates for exposure and that is how they uncovered the other suspected cases.
