VERMONT - Five inmates at Southern State Correctional Facility have tested positive for the antibiotic-resistant staph infection MRSA and test results are pending on four others, the health director for Vermont prisons said today. The five are being isolated in a prison infirmary, where they’re being treated and kept away from other inmates. Read more.
