| Waupun Warden could lift lockdown |

WISCONSIN - The Waupun Correctional Institution remained under lockdown Thursday night with the promise of a thorough investigation of Wednesday's hostage situation. The hostage was 27-year-old Tracy Zemp, a dental technician who was working inside the facility Wednesday morning. The warden said her captor, 37-year-old Stuart Ellanson, was armed with a handmade-type of weapon. He eventually released her unharmed and surrendered after five-and-a-half hours. "I want every stone overturned and every tree shook, and I want an honest assessment of how this incident happened," Warden Michael Thurmer said. Read more.
