WISCONSIN - Wisconsin's top computer official says the state will step up its monitoring of a delayed computer project for its prisons. Oskar Anderson says the state will start to estimate the costs of state employees on the more than $25 million project. The project is supposed to make prisons safer and more efficient by replacing antiquated systems that track some 23,000 state prisoners as well as those out on probation or parole.
