Three probationary corrections officers are out of a job at the Metro Detention Center following claims that prisoners from Valencia County were beaten at the lock-up and there's still an independent probe going on by private investigators.

When news of the alleged beating broke, the sheriff's department promised a full investigation.

The jail has also launched its own probe into what happened to the three Valencia County inmates.
Two corrections officers and four supervisors are still on paid administrative leave. Two more corrections officers are back on the job, but still under investigation.

A spokesperson for the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department said it may wrap up its investigation as early as the end of this week.
