WASHINGTON - Leon Long has been fired as director of the Geiger Corrections Center. Long was placed on paid leave in August after an employee accused him of sexual harassment and the [CO] union issued a no-confidence letter. Spokane County commissioners won't give details on why they decided to dismiss him on Monday, except to say they lost confidence in his leadership. Long has declined comment. Read more.
