MICHIGAN - The Michigan Corrections Organization today became the second union in recent weeks to turn down a new contract with the state. Members of the 8,800-member union representing corrections officers and forensics officers rejected the three-year pact on a 54 percent to 46 percent margin, according to MCO executive director Mel Grieshaber.
