NEW YORK - The man who admitted to assaulting police officers and corrections officers and claimed he was acting out the commands of his wife, Queen Victoria, and his daughter, Queen Susan, was sentenced in Ulster County Court on Tuesday to 4½ years in state prison. Val Thomas had walked into a Dunkin Donuts shop on Broadway in Kingston in November 2003 and ordered the employees to kneel and bow before him because he was “almighty God” and the “king of the United States.” |
