| Corrections employees help one of their own |

OREGON - Giving this time of year is a tradition for employees at the Central Distribution Center of the Oregon Department of Corrections. They take pride in finding a deserving family, reaching deep into their hearts and pockets, and making that family's Christmas wishes come true. "Usually, it's not one of our own people," organizer Diana Schimschok said. That's what makes this year's effort so more meaningful. One of their own, administrative specialist Rudy Limas, has kidney cancer and is going through a tough time. He and his wife, Michelle, have six children, and they care for three other children from their extended family. They all live in a three-bedroom rental in southeast Salem. Read more.
