| Employees disciplined for email misuse |

MONTANA - The Department of Corrections said it is disciplining 74 employees in the wake of an internal investigation that found misuse of e-mail by employees. The agency launched the investigation after an employee reported receiving an objectionable e-mail from a colleague. Agency heads expressed dismay at what they described as "disgusting behavior" by some employees. In some cases, the system was used for inappropriate jokes, including racial and sexual humor or for heavy personal use. One e-mail contained an image of a naked child and was forwarded to law enforcement authorities who determined the case did not warrant criminal investigation. Read more.
