Op-Ed: Changing prison inmates difficult

NORTH DAKOTA - If Tim Mathern ever became our next governor, it would be interesting to see what he would do (or try to do) with our corrections system. Mathern thinks that instead of spending money to remodel the old pen or build a new one, we should spend the money educating inmates, rehabilitating them to become productive citizens.

I wonder what he thinks we are trying to do now. This man is very naive. The whole system works to rehabilitate inmates. Our system is nothing like the tough prisons in our country; it is a system that works hard to make better people out of inmates. Read more.
