ALDOC to sell land

ALABAMA - The Alabama Department of Corrections plans to sell more than 5,000 acres of unproductive properties across the state, including 2,045 acres in Montgomery County that is considered a hunter's paradise -- Red Eagle Honor Farm.

The department will sell the land to help offset approximately $90 million in deferred maintenance and capital improvement costs. The department will retain 364 acres of the total 2,409 available and will continue prison operations at Red Eagle. Read more.
