| State recalculating 33,000 prison terms |

CALIFORNIA - The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is recalculating prison sentences for 33,000 inmates in an effort that figures to result in an undetermined number of them getting earlier releases than anticipated. Corrections spokesman Seth Unger said the department has been looking over the sentences in response to two court cases that have come down over the past two years that focused on good-time credits for inmates.
