TENNESSEE - Hamilton County Sheriff's Department Director of Corrections Jim Hart is leaving his post at the end of the month to take a consulting job with the University of Tennessee's County Technical Assistance Service. Mr. Hart will begin his new job assisting the state's 95 counties with jail management after his resignation becomes effective Dec. 31. He had been managing the Hamilton County Jail for the past 10 1/2 years, prior to which he spent 22 years in corrections management with the U.S. Marine Corps. Read more.
