Judges delay trial on overcrowding

CALIFORNIA - A special panel of federal judges is delaying a trial on whether California prisons are so crowded that inmates should be freed before completing their full sentences.

The judges say Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's administration and attorneys representing inmates need more time to gather evidence before the trial. Read more.
