LOUISIANA - A youth detention facility was placed on lockdown Monday following the escape of four youths, a top city official said. On Friday, the youths, including one being held in connection with an attempted murder, escaped the Youth Study Center. It was the second breakout in two months. Brenda Hatfield, the city's chief administrative officer, said she reviewed operations at the center on Monday and decided to put it on a 24-hour lockdown. Read more.
