| New state corrections officers graduate |

NEW JERSEY - The state is holding a graduation ceremony today for 92 new corrections officers. The recruits have completed an intense 14-week program that covers various areas related to law enforcement, according to the state Department of Corrections’ Office of Training. Also graduation are 21 people who completed training for non-uniformed positions. “The Office of Training provides corrections personnel with the skills necessary to successfully complete their tasks and to upgrade the care, treatment and social reintegration of adult offenders committed our facilities,” said DOC Commissioner George Hayman. “I applaud the work of the instructors, and I congratulate our graduates … and wish them long and satisfying careers.” Read more.
