Former detainees sue Iraqi prisons

WASHINGTON, D.C. - More than 250 former prisoners of Iraqi prisons, including the controversial Abu Ghraib, filed a suit against a U.S. Military contractor that claimed to have participated in the conspiracy to commit torture. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. federal court Monday.

The suit was filed against employees from the contractor CACI International Inc., who the former detainees said performed acts that tortured, threatened and humiliated prisoners from Abu Ghraib, as well as those from other detention centers run by the U.S, from 2003 to 2004. Read more.
