MICHIGAN - A Scott Correctional Facility guard under investigation for this morning’s shooting of another guard shot and wounded himself around 4 p.m. while parked on Belle Isle, officials said. The 44-year-old guard, employed with the State Department of Corrections since 1988, was rushed to Detroit Receiving Hospital and his condition was not yet known. “We have heard that the corrections officer is the one they think is behind it,” Corrections Spokesman Russ Marlan said today. “Obviously, there’s some connection and we’re still trying to piece it together.” Read more.
