| Fights prompt increased security |

WASHINGTON - Security has been increased after a series of fights in a section of the state's largest prison in Monroe. In the past week, 26 offenders at the Monroe Correctional Complex have been placed in solitary confinement because of fights, refusing to be searched and threatening correctional officers and other inmates, according to the state Department of Corrections.
