MISSOURI - Inmates in Missouri's corrections facilities paid more than $780,000 in 2007 to reimburse the state for their cost of care, according to Attorney General Jay Nixon. Since the beginning of 2003, Nixon's office has collected more than $3.6 million from offenders in Missouri prisons, including claims from lottery winnings, inheritances, lawsuit settlements and bank accounts, according to a release.
