MARYLAND - A prisoner broke loose and fled Wednesday after he was taken to the hospital, and there were reports that shots were fired in the building but no reports of injuries, authorities said. Laurel Regional Hospital was placed on lockdown as police searched for the prisoner, Prince George's County fire and emergency management spokesman Mark Brady told Washington radio station WTOP.
