| Ga. prisoners file a federal class action |

GEORGIA - A group of prisoners filed a federal class action Tuesday contending that Georgia corrections officers have systematically beaten restrained inmates in state prisons, leaving two dead and dozens hurt. The lawsuit names 25 [officers] and other officials as culprits in routine beatings and torture. It also claims they covered up the abuses by inflicting more beatings on prisoners who filed complaints.
