NEW HAMPSHIRE - Corrections officials provided the House Finance Committee with some sobering news: the state’s nearly 3000 inmates are aging. Due to an increase in alternative sentencing, the number of prisoners under the age of 25 has decreased since 2003. During that same time period, the number of those over 41 has increased. And just like any population, older people require more medical attention. DOC Commissioner Bill Wrenn says one step he’s taken is to create case management plans. Read more.
