200,000 prisoners to be deported

CALIFORNIA - Immigration officials announced they plan to speed up thousands of deportations this year to reduce the cost of housing illegal immigrants in federal and state prisons.

More than 200,000 immigrants who are currently incarcerated will be deported in 2008, according to officials with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Read more.
