CANADA - More than 50 prison guards blocked traffic into the Grand Valley Institution for Women yesterday to protest the firing of three colleagues this week and the suspension of four others. The event was the latest in a string of information pickets organized by the Union of Canadian Correctional Officers since seven guards were suspended after an inmate died in segregation. Read more.
